Hello
I’ve a 404 error on Portfolio, when a plug-in is activated ; Simple Intranet. I can’t open portfolio items :
…/portfolio-item/2013/ don’t work, but …/?portfolio=2013 do.
When desactiving the plug and flushing the permalinks, all works good.
I know you don’t support external plugins, but do you see a miracle solution to avoid this conflict ?

As you said we can’t support third-party plugins but i think the source of the problem is the slug, maybe that plugin have some element that uses ‘portfolio-item’.
Have you already tried contacting the theme author?
