    Hi,

I used to copy my .po and .mo files on every theme update in order to have a few words I need on the site translated to my language (search, not found…). I only update the theme every few months. Updated this morning, copied the files to /lang – and the translation is not working.

    What could be wrong?

    Many thanks,

    Goran

    Hey Goran!

What names are you using for those files? they should be like this:

    • hr.po
    • hr.mo

    Hi, Josue.

    In /wp-content/wp-config.php I have a line saying: define(‘WPLANG’, ‘hr_HR’);

In /wp-content/themes/enfold/lang I have the files hr_HR.po and hr_HR.mo. Tried renaming them to hr.po and hr.mo but still not working.

    Please help, thanks.

    Hi,

Can you please create me a temporary FTP account and a WordPress admin account? post them here as a private reply.

    Regards,
    Josue

    Hey!

Theme translation seems to be working fine – http://screencast.com/t/VSyxx15Gni2, you needed to select “hr_HR” as the Site Language in Settings. You may note however, that the WordPress translation is not taking effect and that’s because WP now uses a different locale for Croatian (just hr, not hr_HR), so you’ll have to select this instead:

If you do this you’ll have to change the po/mo theme files to:

    • hr.po
    • hr.mo

    Cheers!
    Josue
