Hi, I have installed a plugin called encyclopedia to offer a kind of filterable lexicon.
https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/encyclopedia-lexicon-glossary-wiki-dictionary/
Now Enfold is rendering the whole thing like its blog, but there are some issues with this.
I’d like to exclude the whole plugin from being rendered by Enfold.
Is this possible?
PS: I tried to drop a file in the theme folder (archive-encyclopedia.php) – not really working.Thx a lot in advance!
October 7, 2023 at 6:27 pm #1421763Hey WebbR,
I tried the plugin, but I didn’t find a way to make it look like the demo, I didn’t find any css applied to the page nor the filter. I didn’t find the help info helpful and it seems to be geared towards the pro version. I’m not knocking it, but I would look for another solution. I would expect a shortcode that you can add to any page to display the plugin posts and the filter.
Sorry I was not more help.Best regards,

Hey Mike! Thx for checking – I agree with you as long it is used along with Enfold.
If you switch to any standard WP Theme the rudimentary functions are given. I think the lack of functionality is due to Enfold and its kind of tweaking the blog items.
I hoped there is an easy way to prevent those items to be processed by Enfold.Maybe someone of the staff members can help here?
October 10, 2023 at 5:47 pm #1422033Hi,
Unfortunately I don’t see anyway to change this, we are limited with support for third party plugins, but I have asked the rest of the team if they have any advice, Thank you for your patience.Best regards,

Hey Mike!
Sorry, but I don’t think this is an third party issue – as I wrote before:If you switch to any standard WP Theme the rudimentary functions are given. I think the lack of functionality is due to Enfold and its kind of tweaking the blog items.
The plugin itself works pretty fine!
I fear: The rendering of the enfold blog messes it up.October 10, 2023 at 10:23 pm #1422054Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, but comparing Enfold to the default WP theme is not the same, there are many plugins that don’t behave correctly in Enfold and we can’t make Enfold compatible with every plugin. I have asked the rest of the team if they have any advice, and either they or I will reply back, Thank you for your patience.Best regards,
MikeOctober 11, 2023 at 5:31 pm #1422158Hi,
I received feedback from the Dev Team that suggests to try the different blog layouts at Enfold Theme Options ▸ Blog Layout and see if that gives you the result that you are looking for. I tried the plugin with the default WP theme but I couldn’t get it to work correctly, from the WP Plugin page the demo links all seem to be examples of the pro version on customer sites with modifications, I don’t see a basic example of the lite version showing it “out of the box”, the documentation seems to say that for the filter to show you need to use tags and categories, but the category field doesn’t show even in the WP default theme, so perhaps this is a pro only option, I’m not sure the plugin page is not clear. I have been advised to not spend too much time on this as it is outside of our support scope. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution for this plugin with either the WP default theme or with Enfold. Sorry I was not more help.Best regards,
Mike -
