We have 2 pages still running on 4.4.1.
(WP is up to date 5.5.3 and php on 7.4)
Can you please support us with updating Enfold?

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Please backup your site first, then try to do the following steps:
    1. Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme, right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
    2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
    3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
    4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
    5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
    6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
    7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
    8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
    9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
    10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
    11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Thanks for the quick reply.
What about the Theme settings? Do i have to save them before?
Because there is no more left sidebar in the Enfold settings (like in our other Websites with the newer version)
So how can we save the settings?

    Hi TEC-SAS,

The settings are saved in the database but you should also make a full website backup ready, in case something goes wrong.

Thanks a lot! Everything works fine with both sites.

But today we started a new project, we installed Enfold 4.7.6.4
and now there ist no sidebar for the Enfold-settings.

We found some other entries concerning this error, but no solution works.
    – Cache cleared
    – no plugins running (fresh installation WP 5.5.3)
    – different browser tested (FF, Chrome, Edge)

There is no error message – just missing the Theme settings sidebar.

    Hi TEC-SAS,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Many, many thanks!!
    Great support !

Can you please tell us what was wrong?
Because we will start 2 more projects with Enfold within the next weeks – and maybe there will be the same problem.

    Hi TEC-SAS,

I apologize, I forgot to mention how it got fixed.
In Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL), the address has a space between it, instead of http://yoursite.com it was http:// yoursite.com.
After removing the space, the issue was fixed.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
