Hi there. How can I remove the permanent link text above the post title. I’m not sure if I’m just not doing things properly (for starters I did not create a child theme – is this problematic?) or if there are settings I can change to remove the permalink text appearing above the post title.
Pls advise. (I’ve attached a screenshot below for reference). Thanks in advance
June 1, 2016 at 7:47 pm #641688Hey BootsD!
It is not proper to remove the link.
That will destroy your site at google and at the google results and your users will not be able to navigate inside the site. Please do consider it a bit more, before go deeper wit that

BasilisAugust 5, 2016 at 10:35 am #668923Hi. This is a followup to the question above: When I said ‘remove the permalink’ I meant – to NOT have it visible as another title in the blog post. I understand that it is essential for the site’s ranking but I don’t want it to appear redundantly above the H1 heading and title of the post when the page is published. Currently the permalink is appearing as another title and as it is the same as the H1, it just repeats on the top of the page.
Kindly advise how this can be fixed. Thanks.
August 5, 2016 at 11:08 am #668927Another follow-up: In order to avoid a duplicate title, I just removed the title text in the post and allowed the permalink to appear as the title. It looks ok but does will SEO effectively consider this as my H1? I understand that it is important to clearly define the H1 and H2 tags so this is my concern.
August 9, 2016 at 5:05 pm #670413Hi,
You can simply refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/replace-the-default-blog-latest-news-title/ and change page title to your blog post title

YigitAugust 11, 2016 at 10:55 am #671240Hi Yigit,
The link you sent was quite useful but not quite what I had in mind. Please refer to the screenshot I sent. I’m referring to the permalink which appears as another duplicate title for the post. How can I avoid this? Or would it be best to have the permalink as the title itself (currently what I have) since it seems to be appearing as heading one (H1) anyway. I hope we can resolve/clarify this as I seem to be getting responses that do not address the issue. Thanks.August 15, 2016 at 4:38 am #672442Hi,
I’m sorry but we can’t see the duplicate title in the post. This is what we see on our end: http://imgur.com/a/IFzXO

IsmaelAugust 15, 2016 at 9:57 am #672577Hi Ismael. I’m assuming the screenshot above is for the existing layout. In order to make this work, I’ve actually removed any title above the article and am using the existing permalink as post title to avoid any duplication. I’ve not placed any title within the text box. (I’ve included a screenshot to illustrate.) Initially, I wanted to place an H1 title in the text box as I understand that it is critical for SEO purposes but it appears as a duplicate title below the permalink. Pls advise how best to make this work with Enfold. Thanks.
August 17, 2016 at 8:58 am #673563Hi,
You don’t have to add the title manually because the default title is already wrapped inside the h1 tag.
