Hi, I have a site that uses LiteSpeed Cache. This compresses CSS/JS etc… What I need to know is how does this work with the Enfold Performance section?

Do I enable or disable the CSS and JS file merging and compression in Enfold? This will be done by LiteSpeed (which also optimises the images).

I’ve had quite a few glitches with LiteSpeed (dropdown menus not working when logged in etc…). These go away when I disable LS. I’m not sure if there some kind of clash with Enfold Performance settings and the caching plugins that almost everyone will install.

    Any advice very welcome.
    Thanks.

    Hey johnmac1967,

If you’re using the plugin’s CSS and JS compression, you don’t need to use the theme’s compression, there can be issues with that. Did you try using just the plugin without the theme’s compression?

    Best regards,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes there were issues with it both ways. I’ve tried implementing the speed tips from the Kriesi post but my site does run slow. When I installed LiteSpeed I got a good increase in speed initially but as time passes it slows down quite a lot. I’m going remove LayerSlider to see if that helps as there’s a lot of scripts loading.

I have a good host but we’re at a D on Pingdom, E on GTmetrix and 17M / 65D on PageSpeed Insights. Client not happy with the speed…

Thanks for getting back to me.
