    Hey there,

I just realized that after the update to WordPress 4.7.4 (and Enfold 4.0.5) all of the PDF-files I linked through avia buttons (manual link) doesn’t open any longer. It just says “PDF file couldn’t be opened. An error prevents this PDF file from opening.”
I’ve changed nothing since the update.
How can I fix it? I already tried to link the button again to the file.

    Best regards.

    Hey ping-pong,

Can you check the wp-uploads folder (via ftp), and check if the pdf files are still there or if it isn’t corrupted?

    Best regards,
    Nikko

There is no wp-uploads folder, only a uploads folder which looks good. The elements in it aren’t corrupted, I can download and open them.
Well, all the pictures and everything else that is in the upload folder is also not available on the website… The permisson for the upload folder is set to 777.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response, I have tried the login but it doesn’t work, but I don’t think it’s needed anymore since the issue seems to be fixed, I clicked on the buttons and the pdf is working fine.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi,
yes, I’ve fixed it with reinstalling a backup. It wasn’t a fault of the enfold theme but of a plugin I’ve running as I discovered after updating my plugins.
    Thank you nevertheless!
    Best regards.
