Since I have WordPress 4.0 + Enfold 2.9.2 when I try to import a photo in the library I have lot of lot duplication of the same photo in the library …

Are you seeing the ‘duplicates’ in the Dashboard? does it happen with the default WordPress theme activated?

I don’t know what you mean by ‘duplicates’ to be honest, if you are referring to the thumbnails the theme generates each time a image is uploaded you can disable that using this plugin (Settings > Media).

The issue persists with the any other theme activated, try activating twenty fourteen and uploading a new image. I’d also suggest emptying the library first because i think it has reached its limit.

It will be a problem because we are on production, I tested with the twenty fourteen theme and I don’t have the problem. But we need Enfold theme. So how can I do ?

The already created duplicates will remain unless you delete them, you need to check if the issue persists with new uploads (with twenty fourteen or any other theme activated), please do that test to discard if the issue is theme-related or not.

I done it and I don’t have the problem with twenty fourteen theme. So IMHO the problem come form Envato theme and before my upgrade to WP 4.0 with this theme the problem was not here.

Hey!
If you check on wp-content > uploads > 2014 > 09 folder. How many Top-Dog-Authorized-Partner.jpg file can you see? I’m not sure if it’s possible to have duplicated image files with the same file name. Can you please deactivate the Media File Manager Advanced plugin?

I done again the test with the new version of Enfold, I alway have the problem , you can see it.
But when I go to .//wp-content/uploads/2014/10 I see the new file I just put and only one :-rw-r–r– 1 16971 Oct 3 06:23 errorsmiley.png with right you can see
Have you some ideas ?

Actually, I’m not sure why there are tons of duplicated thumbnails present on the Media library if it’s not there on the uploads folder. Is it OK if we deactivate the plugins while working on the site? If possible, we would like to test it on a default WP theme with your permission.

Hi!
It’s definitely a plugin interfering with the proper functioning of the media library. I’ve narrowed it down to WPML.
I’ve disabled the plugin and upload works fine now although you will not be able to use WPML for the moment.
I am logging a bug report but I suggest you contact WPML and create a support request with them as well.
