Very infrequently and intermittently, pages of my site will pick up the title of a certain blog post. By that I mean the actual page title will suddenly be replaced by the title of this one blog post. Worst is when it happens to my HOME page, as it suddenly has a page title inserted where there isn’t one, complete with breadcrumbs that also aren’t there. It’s like it suddenly picks up the formatting/layout of another page. When I clear the cache, it’s gone/fixed.

Here’s a screen capture of the most recent incident this evening.

As you can see here, the page doesn’t HAVE a place where there’s supposed to be a title.

What this screenshot doesn’t show is that the page has also been appended with the addition of a sidebar that none of my actual pages use.

I’m baffled. It’s so rare that I don’t know how to troubleshoot it, but happens frequently enough that I can’t just let it be an accepted normal condition/occurence.

Does this ring a bell, remind anybody of anything they’ve experienced?

    Hey JeeBar!

Never heard of that before. Do you have any other users setup that are editing your site? Perhaps they are changing the homepage without you knowing?

Make sure your using the latest version, 3.3.2, and all plugins are deactivated while testing. If your using a caching plugin then be sure to clear it’s cache before viewing your site.

    Cheers!

No other users are editing the site.

In fact, that bug is popping up when no changes have been made to the site. At all. The problem just pops up out of the blue, then goes away when i clear the cache — again without making any changes to the site.

    Hi!

Must be some kind of caching issue. Make sure all plugins are deactivated and try uploading a fresh copy of Enfold to see if that helps.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

I’ve been having a similar issue on two sites.

All my page titles are replaced by the most recent blog post.

    Here is an example:
    http://yurisvillage.com/about/

This is the ‘About’ page, and it should have that title, but the title of the page has been replaced with a random blog post from almost two tears ago.’ ‘Non-dairy, Calcium Rich Foods’. This is true for every page on the site.

I have the same issue with another site and, not being able to find a solution, I just hid all the page titles and added them into the body of the page.

Both seemed to come about shortly after an Enfold update.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hey!

    @Translibrium
, Your currently using Enfold 3.1. Update to the latest version, 3.3.2, and make sure to deactivate all plugins while testing.

    Best regards,

    Hi Elliott

Updated Enfold, then switched off all plugins, and switched them back on one by one.
    And the culprit was…
    …WPtouch Mobile Plugin…
    For sure.
Switch it on and the Page Titles revert to the random blog entry.
Switch it off and the Page Titles return to normal.

Thanks very much for the tip Elliott.
And maybe some contact with WPTouch is in order??

    Be well

    Hi,

Glad you found the problem. We can’t be compatible with all third party plugins unfortunately.

    Regards,
    Rikard
