In the last couple days I’ve noticed that although some of the pages have a URL, and are linked in the menu, and the correct page is highlighted in the menu, the page itself gives a
“Nothing Found Sorry, the post you are looking for is not available. Maybe you want to perform a search?”A search for the page provides a link, but with the same result.
All these items are in the same main menu item “Races & Events”, while all the other main menu items function normally.
This is happening on our test site but concerned the issue may replicate on the live site.
Have spoken to our host, and they think that the pages have become hardlinked, and it’s something within the WP side, so I’m checking to see if it’s being caused by the theme somehow.
Thanks

Could you try to reset your permalinks under Settings->Permalinks to see if that helps please?

RikardOctober 17, 2017 at 11:24 am #865236Hi Rikard, did that.
Changed them to “plain”, and back again, no change.
Changed them to “date & name” and left it there, and tried the pages then, but they still had the same URL.I disabled the cache plugin a week or so ago, if that makes a difference?
Thanks
October 18, 2017 at 7:16 am #865554Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I can see the problem on some of the pages in the sub menu. Could you try to enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, then copy the shortcodes of the problem pages to new pages and add those to your menus instead?

RikardOctober 18, 2017 at 11:09 am #865648So, new pages?
I copied the code, but nothign appears to have changed.
/home/xxxxxxx/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php
open functions.php and copied the code to the bottom.
October 18, 2017 at 2:27 pm #865723Hi SuperSportsUAE,
Yes, new pages. I checked functions.php, the code for the Advanced Layout Builder debug is not there. Have you tried rebuilding a page?

VictoriaOctober 18, 2017 at 3:09 pm #865745Apologies, I put it in the live site , not the test site!
Done.
Now I’ll start creating new pages, but it’d be good to know what caused it.
October 18, 2017 at 3:15 pm #865750Have copied the shortcodes to another page, and that now works.
Will wait to hear what may have caused it so I can prevent it happening again.
Thanks
October 19, 2017 at 7:35 am #866102Yesterday I copied short codes for a few pages. This morning I’ve now completed copying the short codes for all the affected pages, linked them into the menu, and now they no longer exist!
I am now back where I started!
Should I remove the test site, and re-copy the live site to make a new test site?
Please advise.
October 19, 2017 at 10:42 am #866143Hi,
I’m not sure what the problem is with your test site to be honest, but I’m pretty sure it not related to the theme. If you are having that much problems, then yes, it might be a good idea to replace the whole thing with the live version?

RikardOctober 19, 2017 at 11:11 am #866150OK, thanks. Fingers crossed that does the job!
