Hello,
I can no longer edit pages and update them – I get an error message “Updating failed”.
This problem appeared since I set up the SSL for the website. I contacted our host support about it and they say they cannot see a problem from their side and I should contact theme support.
I also cannot update the theme to the newest version 4.6.1. – error message “An error occurred while updating Enfold: Update package not available”
We now have theme version 4.5.7Can you help me find the issue?
Thanks in advance.September 9, 2019 at 12:42 pm #1135966Hey hamansto,
Sorry for the problem and thanks for the login details, they don’t seem to work though. Could you check and verify please?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 9, 2019 at 12:52 pm #1135977Dear Rikard,

September 10, 2019 at 5:57 am #1136357Hi,
Thanks for that. Saving pages; what happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options?
Theme update; are we allowed to try to update the theme from the backend?

It is the same issue with the default editor.
Yes, you may try updating the theme. I have a recent backup saved.Greetings,

Thanks for that, I get the same problem when updating on my end as well. I see some error messages related to JetPack. Could you try deactivating that to see if it makes any difference?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 11, 2019 at 9:12 am #1136939Hi Rikard,
thank you for checking. I deactivated the JetPack plugin, but the issue remains.

NinaSeptember 12, 2019 at 6:41 am #1137389Hi Nina,
Are you sure that you have given the token the correct permissions? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#toggle-id-5
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 12, 2019 at 9:07 am #1137421Hi Rikard,
I tried adding permissions as well as creating a new token and the problem remains.
When I created a new token, I checked the permissions listed in your link, I got an error message pointing out that only these three permissions should be checked:
View and search Envato sites
Download your purchased items
List purchases you’ve madeWith this the token could be verified, still same issue. I edited the other permissions, but also still same issue.
Greetings,
Nina-

Please clear browser cache or try another browser and try the Envato website again to download the theme.

VictoriaSeptember 13, 2019 at 12:04 pm #1137966Hi Victoria,
thank you for the file, I updated the theme via FTP now, but the issue with editing pages remains. When I edit a page and click update, I still get the same error message – “Updating failed”
Also, according to Enfold -> Theme Update, I have the current version 4.6.2, but in Dashboard –> Updates, it still lists the Enfold update “You have version 4.5.7 installed. Update to 4.6.2. ”
Which one is correct?Best regards,
NinaSeptember 16, 2019 at 3:38 pm #1138847Hi hamansto,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.

new login details below.
We found a solution for editing pages – it seems there is an issue with the page editor. We installed the Classic Editor plugin and now we can edit pages again.
However, I am still unable to update to the new theme, this issue remains the same as before.
Also, I notice that icons are not displayed throughout the whole website.Thank you for your help,
NinaOctober 25, 2019 at 10:30 am #1151140Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We tried to update the theme automatically but we got the same error (An error occurred while updating Enfold: Update package not available). You should enable the debug mode and the error logs, see if anything is added in the log during the update process. Where did you deploy the site? It’s possible that the server where the site is located blocks the update requests from Envato. Contact your hosting provider for additional info.
Also, make sure that the “allow_url_fopen”, “allow_url_include” and “register_globals” PHP settings are enabled. You can disable them back after the update.
If you don’t see anything in the error logs, try to update the theme manually via FTP.
