Hello Team,
I’ve tested my website using PageSpeed and some issues concerning “above-the-fold” were found.
Pagespeed suggest to:
1. remove the following Javascript codes that blocks rendering
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.2
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…s/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=1.2.1
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…nt/themes/enfold/js/avia-compat.js?ver=22. Opmitize the following CSS:
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Arimo:400,700%7CArimo
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…gram-feed/css/sb-instagram.css?ver=1.3.7
http://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/…2.0/css/font-awesome.min.css?1&ver=4.2.0
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…content/themes/enfold/css/grid.css?ver=2
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…content/themes/enfold/css/base.css?ver=2
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…ntent/themes/enfold/css/layout.css?ver=2
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…t/themes/enfold/css/shortcodes.css?ver=2
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…ld/js/aviapopup/magnific-popup.css?ver=1
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…ment/skin-1/mediaelementplayer.css?ver=1
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…_avia/enfold_child.css?ver=55cef220db413
http://www.turistaimperfeito.com/…ntent/themes/enfold/css/custom.css?ver=2etc etc
Any idea or plugin to solve these problems. Any risk to break the theme when following pagespeed guidelines?
Up till now I did’nt remove the “query strings” because I read on enfold support (2013 threads) that this practice can prevent browser to delete outdated script versions from the cache. Do you still confirm this?
I am using W3TC plugin
Thanks a lotAugust 17, 2015 at 9:29 am #488709Hi turistai,
The “above the fold” “error” is not really an error, those files are needed for the theme to look and function the way it does. You can ignore that error as you would get the same one on any modern site today.
You can try a minify plugin to see if you experience any improvements: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/
Thanks,

thanks for your great support.
I am using W3TC. According to your experience with Enfold do you think that bwp-minify plugin may give better result than W3TC?August 17, 2015 at 4:33 pm #488987Hey!
It gives you more options and lets you decide exactly which files should be minified or loaded in the header / footer, etc etc. Some files depend on each other though so they need to be loaded first. If you start to see errors or weird behaviour then it would be best to just use the default settings.
Best regards,
