Hello,
I am actual editing the theme “Construction”.
I use the page duplicator so I keep the origin page (changing just name and link) and use
the copy to change it for the individual style.
Until now it worked like that.
But with the page “News” I am getting problems.
If I view it before editing I see this page as its seen in the demo and all looks great.
Now I want to “edit” this site and then all content is away.
No usual components inside which I could see on the other pages.
When I leave the “edit” mode and “view” it again, it is all looking great again.
This behaviour is shown with the origin page as well as with a “clone” or a “new draft”.
Can you tell me what is going on there?Best regards

the site is just getting builded and is therefore nowhere reachable online.
But you can check this even in the standard installation.
You go to pages and take the page “News” and view it.
You see some nice contents with text and pictures in the middle of the page and
in a row down with several texts corresponding to this pictures.
Now, if you want to edit this, there is no content, no components to work with.
You only see a “blank” editor field, which is not showing the elements of the page “News”.
If you leave the edit mode again, you can view again the page in the described way.
So as a last solution, it could be helpful to have the php-file, to edit, but I suppose it
should be editible like the other pages, too.Greets

In addition to all, if you try to copy the page or change her name (link) the content is away…
As already said, this happens in some “virgin” installation too, so you can check this

Thats not really customerfriendly…
I think you could see this error rather quick, if you got an installation of theme “construction”
in a virgin way (with childtheme).
(I extra made some new installation to check that.)You take theme construction -> go admin page -> pages -> page: “News”
so you have the menu below with “edit” “trash” “view” and so on and view it.
You see some nice contents with text and pictures in the middle of the page and
in a row down with several texts corresponding to this pictures.
Now you try to edit this.
You only see a “blank” editor field, which is not showing the elements of the page “News”.
If you leave the edit mode again, you can view again the page in the described way.
This behaviour is in opposite to all of the rest of the theme pages…Would be nice you try it this way before I am forced to make some account in other companies
and getting advertisment and spam and whatelse…Regards

this is not happening on my installation. That’s why I asked you for screenshots.
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

I am developing local and we put the site on the server when I am ready, so there is not ftp
and at the moment also no possibility to show this online to you.
My installation has been a fresh installation.
The installation of wordpress is a complete “Bitnanmi” installation including all.
After that I put “enfold” into the theme folder and choose it instead of twentysixteen, then
I activate the child as described with those two files in it.
So from the very start I have the described trouble with the page “News” which is showing the
content on “view” and no components in “edit”.
Ok, you checked it in your installation and could not find it, so we have to find another way.
Because basically I would like to see the “News” site in edit mode to see the components
which are used to learn and maybe to adapt it.
So I will try to put some screenshots anywhere for you to show you…
But you really should be able to receive screenshots from your customer to help in a more
efficient way for both sides.
By the way,
is there a chance to reimport some page in a theme where this page has been developed for?Best regards,

content on “view” and no components in “edit”.I’m sorry but what do you by mean “no compononents in edit”? It is an unfamiliar term, at least with me, personally. Could you please elaborate on it further? And if you’re ready to provide a screenshot, please use imgur or dropbox.

Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. You can’t import the dummy data multiple times because it will override the theme options.

I used the word “components” instead of “elements”.
You see the page “News” with “view” and all looks great and when I want to edit the page
there are no elements visible to edit them.
And with the other pages in the Demo theme you can edit the showed elements,
so there seems to be something wrong with the page “News”
Maybe you can understand the problem and hopefully help me.
If you try and can not reproduce this effect, I will have to create me some account on
dropbox and send you some screenshots.Thanks and regards

it’s difficult to get a sense of what you’re trying to explain, so I think it would be best for us to provide us screenshots highlighting what you mean.

maybe the content I have been searching for is just dynamic visible because it’s the “News” page.
My irritation came from the possibility to edit the other pages and when I looked at this page I
did not see any content and I could not find the point how to edit this “News” page…
Now I solved it else.Greets
