Hi Guys,
I’m trying to do a certain page layout. I’ve tried several times and can’t seem to figure it out. I want to place a slowshow in the background and then place buttons or social icons on top of the slide show. This can be down with a normal image background.
But the color section does not seem to take a short code. What would be the best way to do this type of page layout?

You can add your slider element on the top of your page content and then add content right below it in a 1/1 column element and then edit your column element and give it a negative top margin value :)
Best regards,

I’m not very clear on the “negative top margin value” I’m not seeing a margin value in the 1/1 column element. Is it the row, layout or border? Also, what should the negative margin “number” be?

May 13, 2016 at 1:34 pm #632043Hi,
Please hover on your column element and click that blue button to edit your column and then edit top margin value – http://imgur.com/a/CTEFW
If you do not have such feature, you might be using an older version of the theme. In that case, please firstly update Enfold to the latest version 3.5.4 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
YigitMay 14, 2016 at 4:21 pm #632366I guess, what I’m not understanding is, I can edit the column, but how am I editing it to get the result I want? How is editing the column going to place other elements on top of the slideshow background.
I want to place a button on the center of the page as a slideshow plays in the background.
I’ll try what your saying, but your being a little bit vague so I’m not fully understanding.
May 15, 2016 at 5:11 am #632436Hi,
Slide shows do not have social icons integrated so both are separate elements. You need to create 2 elements on same page and overlap them. Please follow the steps provided by Yigit to accomplish it. If you still have any issue Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- the URL to the login screen
- a valid username (with full administration capabilities)
- as well as a password for that username
Best regards,
