Hi there,
I’ve run into an issue with a site I’m working on where a specific page just randomly stopped saving edits beyond a specific point. The page has a fair amount of content (text/images) utilizing a tab section and while modifying the final tab, the page just gave up on saving edits beyond a specific point (ie: it would save fine, and if I tried adding an additional image and attempted to save, it would not). I assumed that it might be related to the PHP Memory Limit, so we had that increased to 512MB to no avail. Also tried disabling all plugins to no avail.
Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the inquiry.
Did you add any custom html, code or embed any scripts in the page? Please try to temporarily remove the custom code, then save the page. Let us know of the result.
Best regards,

No… nothing of the sort… just editing via the Advanced Layout Editor like normal.
The page seems to function fine up and to the point where I’m stuck… if I were to remove any images, it will save fine… if i try to add any further images/content, it refuses to save properly (continues to spin). Almost as if it’s run out of space/memory.November 13, 2024 at 6:23 am #1471187Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We created a test page (see private field) using the Journey page as the template, and we were able to reproduce the issue. Unfortunately, we are not yet sure what is causing the error. Would it be possible to temporarily deactivate the plugins while testing?
Best regards,

Yes, that’s fine… I tried that approach as well with no different results, but feel free to try on your end!
Appreciate you helping look into this issue.November 15, 2024 at 8:32 am #1471369Hi,
Unfortunately, we are not yet sure what is causing the issue, but it seems to be related to an entry in the browser’s session storage. If possible, please provide the FTP details in the private field. We’ll get back to you as soon as we find anything.

November 18, 2024 at 8:02 am #1471526Hi!
Thank you for the info.
The same notification still occurs after updating the theme files:
“”nfo – Session Storage: Browser memory limit reached or blocked by browser. Your Browser does not offer enough session storage to save more steps for the undo/redo history.” “Failed to execute ‘setItem’ on ‘Storage’: Setting the value of ‘aviaenfoldchild1043753’ exceeded the quota.”
We are still unable to update the page. When we copy the content of the Journey page from the live site to a local installation, the same error occurs, but we were able to update the page. This is with the default 6.0.6 version, without the modifications mentioned above. We have not encountered this issue before. We’ll give you an update as soon as we find anything.
Cheers!

Any updates regarding a fix (or workaround) on this?
My temporary workaround is not suffice on mobile, so hoping there’s a solution to the main issue.
Thanks!November 27, 2024 at 3:41 pm #1472382Hello… Just following up again on this… any updates??
November 28, 2024 at 9:44 am #1472453Hi,
Sorry for the delay. We are still not sure what is causing the issue, but it seems to be related to the tab section on the page and its contents, which are quite extensive. As mentioned above, when we copied the template to our local installation, we were able to reproduce the “exceeded quota” error but were still able to update the page. In the meantime, please try to reduce or separate the contents of the tab section and create dedicated pages for them instead.
Best regards,
Ismael -
