Hi all,
I had upgraded the theme and WordPress to the latest versions and everything seemed okay. Today I logged in to do some work on a client website and there was no Page Builder available. The Page Builder content is still there but I have no menu showing the buttons to add columns or any elements.
Thanks,
Leyden
March 3, 2016 at 5:38 pm #592738Hi fulanoinc!
Please flush browser cache and refresh your page a few times – http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Hard_Refresh
If that too does not help, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately.Best regards,
YigitMarch 3, 2016 at 5:47 pm #592743Not working. I have sent along the user login info.
March 3, 2016 at 6:03 pm #592752Hi!
Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?
Best regards,
YigitMarch 3, 2016 at 6:59 pm #592806Turned plug-ins off one by one and it still not showing up. What’s strange is that the boxes with content are still there and I can launch them to edit them. Has anything like this happened recently?
Thanks,
LeydenMarch 5, 2016 at 6:19 am #593644Hi Leyden,
Could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardMarch 8, 2016 at 5:22 am #594781Hi Guys,
I’m really at a loss here. I replaced the Enfold theme folder with a fresh download from Themeforest and still having this issue. Still no page builder controls, only the content shows. When I try adding a new page, the does not show the page builder button.
Thanks,
Leyden
March 8, 2016 at 5:34 am #594789Hi guys,
I also tried editing a section and it works, so I can edit the page builder text section but can’t add anything new or build a new page because of the missing menus.
March 8, 2016 at 6:06 am #594808Could it be an issue with the child theme?
March 9, 2016 at 11:11 pm #595897Any news on this? I have also found after upgrading woocommerce to the latest version that there are a few outdated template files. Could this have anything to do with it?
March 10, 2016 at 10:12 pm #596582I fixed these files and nothing. It’s still broken.
March 14, 2016 at 7:59 am #597595Hey!
Did you add any modifications to the child theme? We would like to check it but the Appearance > Editor panel is missing.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 14, 2016 at 3:30 pm #597774Hi Ismael,
I did not make any changes to the child theme that I hadn’t done before. Mostly the addition of new custom post types to work with the page builder.
I can give you FTP access so you can check out the child theme.
March 15, 2016 at 7:01 pm #598544Hi there,
I have found an issue between the new Enfold Theme and the Enfold Child Theme. Can you all have a look?
March 15, 2016 at 10:41 pm #598658Okay, I figured out the problem. The issue is because the Child Theme Name is different from the original Child Theme name. I changed it from Enfold Child to the client’s name. When I change it back to Enfold Child the page builder works fine. However, it breaks the front-end. All the changes made to the theme options are gone. All this was working just fine even with the Child Theme having a different name untill I updated the theme.
So what can we do? It the loading of the child theme. Can you all change this?
Thanks,
Leyden
March 15, 2016 at 11:32 pm #598693Actually,
A lot of my themes have the name changed for client purposes. But the part that reads the parent theme remains the same. This worked fine on older versions, not sure why you all decided to change it.
Thanks,
Leyden
March 16, 2016 at 7:06 pm #599123Guys,
I just need to know where your theme references the Child theme. Right now if the child theme name is different, it breaks your Avia page builder. This never happened before and its an issue with the new version. PLEASE help me change this so it doesn;t happen to others.
Thanks,
Leyden
March 16, 2016 at 9:21 pm #599227Hey!
That can not be right, it is something else that brakes the child theme.
Your development password not working, can u pleas check?Best regards,
BasilisMarch 16, 2016 at 10:09 pm #599271The site was cloned and tested to reveal this issue. I also used FTP to change the name of the child theme back to the original and BAM it started working again. However, that voided all the info and data configured in the theme options panel.
Thanks,
Leyden
March 17, 2016 at 11:21 pm #599991If I could just find out where the theme references the child theme name I may be able to fix this. Does anyone have a moment to let me know this detail and potentially fix a bug that could break future sites?
Thanks,
Leyden
March 21, 2016 at 6:18 am #601031Hi!
You can export the theme options first before renaming the child theme folder. You can then import it back afterwards.
Regards,
IsmaelMarch 22, 2016 at 9:36 am #601763Okay, I tried that and it didn’t work. I change the name of the theme in the child css and then I change the current_theme value in the database to match it. It fixes the page builder problem in the back-end but breaks the website content because it doesn’t load the theme options. So I uploaded the saved theme options file like you suggested. This fixes the content on the front end and reloads the theme options but then breaks again the page builder.
What’s going on? Is it a specific value in the options?
Thanks,
Leyden
March 22, 2016 at 10:32 pm #602189If you use advanced tinymce editor disable it, it uses ajax, and with new updates I’have found that some conflict emerges with enfold.
March 23, 2016 at 10:23 pm #602806Okay so I figured it out and fixed it. this is emberacing but here it goes. It seems that after upgraging either I or someone (client) checked the “Lock Page Builder” setting in the Theme Options panel. So as I went through all the settings one by one, I discovered it.
Thanks for all your help and again, congrats on an ever improving top notch theme.
Best,
Leyden
