Hello,
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/need-to-take-precautions-before-update/#post-829285 got it to work, (new Enfold update] and I was fine.
Now it seems all of my work on the website is gone.
I have the backup, but what may be the reason?
– I hope this will not happen again.July 27, 2017 at 3:19 pm #830686Hey Loining,
If the customization is done on the child theme it won’t be lost during the update but if it’s done on the parent theme any customization on the theme files, it would be lost, otherwise there would be no reason it would be lost.

NikkoJuly 27, 2017 at 3:29 pm #830693I tried to restore the site with the backup.
Then everything is fine again, but back to the version 3.2 of Enfold.
Again Extracting the Enfold v.4.1.2 and the site adopt it and get a look with Enfold Logo and goes into green colors…
‘Your current Parent Theme (Enfold) Version Number is 4.1.2’My main menu is the same, just an other color and layout.
But that all pages are shown to the right, is not my setup. What is the solution to get this right?
Under the template > Import/Export it is stated ‘We have detected that you are using a Child Theme. That’s Great!. If you want to, we can import the settings of your Parent theme to your Child theme. Please be aware that this will overwrite your current child theme settings.’After backup I have not touched this. May it still me something about this?
July 27, 2017 at 4:10 pm #830702I will again return to the backup.
How can I make sure that it is a child I use?
And that it will still be a child after I again import the Enfold v.4.1.2July 27, 2017 at 4:12 pm #830707Under appearance > Editor it is written to the right:

I was asked for access credentials, but I do not know if it has been looked into.As the problem is not the imported child, but that when I change the name of the child, I inherit the mother settings instead of keeping the child settings.
August 1, 2017 at 2:01 pm #832868Hi,
That would expected, if you change the name of the child theme then your settings would return to default.
