Not sure if this is a WordPress or Enfold issue, but…a month ago, I could set outside links to open in a new tab or new window, but now no matter how or where on the back end I set the command for where outside links should open, they open on the same page instead of in a new tab or window. I guess I can mostly live with that because I’ve been seeing notes that it’s “bad manners” to force a new tab, but it’s a big problem for video links. If I put the link to a YouTube video on a word/phrase, it won’t open in YouTube but opens in a lightbox – and then it won’t play. When I click on the Play arrow, I get “An error occurred. Please try again later.” I’ve tried all the steps that YouTube recommends from reloading the page to clearing the cache, but nothing works. If the link would just open on YouTube instead of in a lightbox, I wouldn’t have a problem. Ideas?

RikardJune 20, 2016 at 9:28 pm #651098After noodling around some more, I’ve figured out the video lightbox issue. It turned out to be a problem with the specific link. I had copied the URL from where I found the video in the playlist:
https://(EXAMPLE)www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCWk75LJdhg&list=PL-XNKfCQAsFmhaL1ymsRXB9yoRziPGq4T&index=1
Once I got rid of everything after the ampersands:

the lightbox function worked fine. Yay!The global issue of why none of my commands to open a link in a new tab or window are being honored is another story…..
