Are there other ways to manage page templates that are created other than accessing them in the “Templates” dropdown in the Ava Layout Builder when editing pages? One of our clients has a very large website and they create/use multiple page templates. However, a single list in the “Templates” dropdown is not ideal for a website that uses quite a few templates. Is there an option or add-on for Enfold that would provide a more robust way to view/manage page templates?

Thank you for the inquiry.
Aside from the Templates option, you can also use the Page Content element to display the content of another page, which can be utilized as templates that can be updated globally. Another option is the Custom Elements Template (CET), which are builder elements that can be customized and added to different areas of the site. Once added, all instances of the CET can be updated in a single place. Please check the links below for more info:

It would be great if this could be something considered as a new feature for a future version of the theme. Templates in Enfold are very easy to use and create. But as I mentioned, are just a bit difficult to manage and view when you have a longer list of them. So if there was a more robust way to view and organize them instead of a single dropdown, that would really help.
Instead of one list/dropdown, maybe the ability to manage them like menus in WordPress where there could be parent/child categories and display those with a dropdown or megamenu style would make it easier? I’m sure there are other and likely better options, so hopefully this is something your team will look further into.
May 15, 2024 at 4:41 am #1443553Hi,
In the upcoming major release (6.0) of the theme, there will be a new feature called “Custom Page Layout”, which is almost the same as the Page Content element; the only difference is that it will display the content of items in a custom post type (CPT). This should allow you to easily manage custom layouts for pages and templates. However, we don’t have an estimated release date yet.
Best regards,
