I am trying to get the “Board of Directors” h1 text on this site http://decentdesign.co.uk/doriemus2/board-of-directors/
to look like the one on this site: http://decentdesign.co.uk/doriemus/board-of-directors/Problem is I can only choose weights of Light, Normal or Bold from the theme options. How can I get the weight 800 (Super Bold) in there? I tried overriding it in the custom css with h1 {font-weight:800 !important;} but that didn’t work. Is it because the whole font family is not loaded?

Did you import that weight? If not then please try following this: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/register-additional-google-fonts-for-theme-options/
