    Dear folks at Kriesi,
    dear bereaved,

for months now I had no urgent need to change the content of my widgets in certain projects and was able to just ignore the issues with e.g. the text-and html-widgets. Now I needed to edit the contents. The problems were (and still are) reported frequently, still no solution was presented by kriesi. The behavior: Widgets’ content area can not be opened in the widget admin page. Even newly set widgets are not editable.

Some more extensive diving into the problem showed a connection between that behavior and some filters set in the functions.php file (you find that in your [hopefully child-]theme directory).
In my case I had to deactivate the clean_url-Filter and reactivate it after the widgets have been changed.

Please solve this issue in general, since I implemented the clean_url filter for a reason. To deactivate it when needing to change some widgets contents is no solution and barely a workaround.

    Hey eee_lala,

I’m not sure why you’re having this issue.

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

and thank you for the offer, but there’s no need to:
    It’s already solved, everythings’s fine.

    Til next time :)
