Tagged: anchor links, one page
I have a one page site layout (similar to the restaurant demo). I also have blog posts, which are displayed on their own pages like a normal multi-page site. My main menu contains the anchor links for the one page layout, and it works beautifully when you are on the main page. When you view a blog post and attempt to navigate back to the main page using a menu link with the anchor, it will correctly take you to the section, but the fullscreen slider and menu bar don’t render correctly. The fullscreen slider doesn’t display any content, and is basically blank. The menu stays transparent and does not go back to solid (I’ve set it to be transparent in the page options, but it usually transitions to solid when you scroll down).
When I load the page main page normaly, I don’t get any errors. When I navigate to it using the anchor link, I get an error in my console, which I’ve attached a link to
Is there a way to navigate back to my main page, to the specific section, without breaking it? Is there something not being loaded when I jump to an anchor? Is this type of setup inherently not possible?
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Hi jamaico!
can you give us a link to the site in question? We would like to inspect it.
In the meanwhile please try to deactivate all plugins to see if one is causing this issue.
Best regards,
Andy
After some digging it turns out that my problem only occurs in Chrome, and only when I’m logged in. I think there’s a conflict with the WordPress admin bar on the front-end for me. In either case, visitors won’t be logging in, and so they won’t encounter this error.
Thanks!
Hi!
Please try re-updating the theme via FTP and make sure to overwrite all files – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and check if that helps.
