September 18, 2019 at 3:57 pm #1139539Hi,
Thanks for that, though I can’t reproduce the problem you are describing. Your site and home page is loading just fine on my end. How can we reproduce the problem you are having?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 18, 2019 at 4:50 pm #1139571Hi,
Thank you for checking however, site is not loading after the new update. But the website/home-page is loading fine , as long as anyone login to site/or WP admin login and browse.
Otherwise it will load ” nothing found page” that’s what I’m describing.

Nothing Found

September 18, 2019 at 6:38 pm #1139628The loading error is Typical 404 Page Loading error,
This all happen once I update the enfold update.September 20, 2019 at 11:40 pm #1140365I’m having the same issue – http://www.mountainhm.com
September 21, 2019 at 12:07 am #1140379Seems to have to do with a bug in the custom 404 selection. which is not good for SEO. What’s the story enfold? The home page is set to home. With no custom 404 page set the website shows as a 404 – nothing found. Then when I select Custom Error 404 page to display selected page without redirect and set that selected page to Home it will work. This is horrible for search engines….
Current theme is loaded.
September 22, 2019 at 2:06 am #1140519Hi,
@RapiD3D sorry for the late reply, I checked your site and it is loading well with no errors and not logged in, are you still experiencing this issue?
@ewingmh Please do not use your home page as your 404 page, in the 404 settings it says:Select if you want to use any of your pages as your custom Error 404 Page. This page will be excluded from page lists and search results. You must deselect the page to make it accessible for public again.
The dev team has written on this topic that selecting the homepage as the 404 page is bad practice: custom pages are special pages excluded from search, indexing, sitemaps… we have to stay compatible with plugins like WPML and YOAST
You could copy your homepage and create an identical 404 page if you want, but I would recommend reading: 11 Brilliant 404 Pages To Turn Lost Visitors Into Loyal CustomersBest regards,
MikeSeptember 22, 2019 at 2:36 am #1140520Please reread my post as you aren’t answering the problem and the bug that exists.
September 22, 2019 at 2:44 am #1140522September 22, 2019 at 4:03 pm #1140640Yes site is now working after wipe clean/reset the cPanel and re-construct the site with backup.
There is no solution of this bug / Site loading error after update other than re-building the site.
Lesson learn, don’t update The Enfold Theme, until you have carefully red the reviews.Thank you
