Hi,
Using the search feature brings an odd result:
– on the homepage, clicking on the loop directly goes to the result page, without displaying the entry field at it used to be; Then, on the result page, one can finally type something.
– on other pages, clicking on the loop does nothing
What should I do?
Thanks
April 5, 2017 at 5:36 am #772181Hey NMOI,
That is not happening on my end when checking with Chrome, in what browser are you seeing that?
Best regards,
RikardApril 5, 2017 at 7:59 am #772282Hi Rikard,
I’m using Chrome too ! And I’ve emptied the browser’s cache.
And Firefox, Edge and Opera are working OK for me.
Best regards
April 6, 2017 at 8:38 am #773010Hi,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Could you try in an incognito window in Chrome? That should not use any caching at all. It’s still not happening on my end, though just to clarify, you mean that it loads a search result page when you click the magnifying glass, right?
Best regards,

Yes, when I click on the magnifying glass, it load a search result page labelled “New search page”.
And you’re right, it’s working OK with an anonymous session, even though I’ve cleared the cache. How could this happen?
Thanks
April 7, 2017 at 9:35 am #773798Hi,
Ok, thanks. That means the cache is still there in your regular browser window, try clearing it again and restart. You could also try to reset the router in the network you are on.
Best regards,
RikardApril 7, 2017 at 12:02 pm #773879Hi Rikard,
I’ve cleared the cache again, and restarted my ADSL router and my switch : no change.
Could this have to be related to transients? If yes, please be very specific in your answer since I’m absolutely not familiar with this part of WordPress.
Thanks
April 8, 2017 at 2:21 pm #774501Hi NMOI,
I tested in Chrome, Safari and Firefox on a Mac, alway got the search field. It could be happening if there is an error in Javascript, then it can stop working, but even than it’s not always the case.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaApril 8, 2017 at 6:05 pm #774619Hi Victoria,
That’s strange, but if I’m the only one to get this, I can live with it.
Thanks
Nicolas
