January 12, 2017 at 4:32 pm #732694Hey
Please try de-activating all active plugins and update Enfold to the latest version 3.8.4 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and check if that helps.

YigitJanuary 12, 2017 at 5:07 pm #732713Hi Yigit,
plugins are deactivated and the theme updated but the problem is still there.
But I’m doing some testing and I really think depends on the sizes of the images. For example: I wanted to put an image in a 1/3 box. The image size is 320x180px and if I choose it from the media library it looks selected but when I exit the media library is not showing the preview of the image but only the alt text. BUT if I select the image frome the library and choose, instead of its real size, a standard size (in this case the medium one: 300x169px) the image is correctly visualized in the preview and in the page.
A similar thing happen if I try to upload an image as featured image of a portfolio item: if I choos “real size” the image is not displayed in the preview and in the page, but if I choose medium size the image is shown in the preview but not in the page!
Same problem to upload the logo: I’ve choose precise size (132×50) and it’s not working, but if I choose miniature (80×50) it’s working but it’s awful
Same for the slideshow: I’m using 1500x430px images but they are not displayed
Quite a mess… How can I know the size an image is working? It looks like the theme has some kind of size limitation, but I don’t know witch ones
Thanks in advance for your helpJacopo

January 14, 2017 at 7:46 pm #733637i am also having this problem! i can not see previews of the images in my media library. i thought it was a conflict with woocommerce, which i recently installed, but i deleted it completely and still having this problem. its been 2 days and i can not work on my site.
when i go directly to the media library, i can view items in list form, but not in the square image form … which i dont really care about. but the main problem is that if im creating a blog post, for example, and i go to add media, i get no options. because i can not choose the list form. i tried adding something by URL, and that did not work either.
id really appreciate any help you can provide. thanks!January 16, 2017 at 5:37 pm #734237Hi,
does this happen with a default WP theme as well?
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

AndyJanuary 17, 2017 at 9:33 am #734593Hi Andy,
I didn’t try to upload images with another theme. I could try to reinstall Enfold, but this means to loose weeks of work and restart the website from zero. Are you sure there is not another solution?
Thank youJacopo
January 17, 2017 at 9:50 am #734601Hey!
Switching a theme and try if it works, please.
Switching theme, you do not loose any modifications, if you reinstall it although wouldnt be a solution for now, although you could
try make a clear installation.Let us know if it will work.

if I switch theme everything works… What could be the problem?
By the way, the server is a virtual server, the php version is 5.6.29 and the os is Windows server 2012 R2 standard
Thank youJacopo
January 18, 2017 at 5:57 pm #735453Hi,
Switching the theme did not work for me. I’m afraid of losing months of work creating my website if i delete Enfold from FTP and reinstall it. I also have Eunoia installed, but the same problem occurs with the inability to access the media library and the “error message: try later” when i try to upload anything to the library. I switched to Eunoia to see if it happened with that theme as well, and it did.
is that useful information for troubleshooting my problem. it would sort of be a disaster if i have to rebuild my site from scratch because the kresi themes have an error.
can you please advise of what i should do to proceed. of course if rebuilding is the only way, ill have to do that since i can not have a broken website…
thanks for your help,
LauraJanuary 18, 2017 at 11:17 pm #735596Hi,
you won’t lose anything if you delete all theme files via FTP, cause all your work is stored inside your database. So go ahead and delete everything, then get a fresh copy from your themeforest account. However, make sure to have a backup, just in case.

AndyJanuary 19, 2017 at 4:08 am #735652thank you so much. my site works now!
if anyone reading this has this problem, i think it was a problem caused by a plugin. i did delete the theme via FTP – nothing was messed up so don’t be afraid to do this. i was terrified of losing months of work but its fine-all the work is saved in the database so you will be fine switching or deleting themes. just check each plugin – deactivate them all and then activate them one by one once you have deleted/reinstalled the theme via FTP until you find the bug. the plug that was messing up my media library was a simple one to add advertising to my site in a sidebar. I downloaded that on the same day i downloaded woocommerce, so assumed woocommerce was the problem because its a complicated plugin. However, it was just a different plugin, so deactivate all of the plugins and test them one by one before you need to delete and upload the theme via FTP. hope this helps!!
January 19, 2017 at 10:09 am #735763I don’t have any plugins so it couldn’t be that my problem. I’ve noticed that if I upload the image in Google Drive and use the URL it works perfectly. But still the problem is not fixed.
Now I will try to uninstall and reinstall the theme and let’s see what happen.
Thank you!January 19, 2017 at 3:06 pm #735883Ok, uninstall and reinstall did’t worked: images are still impssible to upload…
Any ideas?January 20, 2017 at 12:27 pm #736372@jacopovals
Does it work when using a default WP theme? let’s make sure that it’s not a theme related issue for you.Best regards,
AndyJanuary 21, 2017 at 5:47 pm #736818mmm… ok it’s not working even with another theme… what could be the problem? Please help :)
