Not able to edit pages, instead pages are continuously loading

I have been using the Enfold theme since last fall. Recently I attempted to update to a newer version of WordPress 4.2. Since then I have been trying to edit my pages and they never load for me to do any updates. I go to Dashboard, Pages and click on any page in an attempt to update. But the page never loads, so I cannot update.
