Today I added multiple new posts to a client’s beta site. We’re about to go live but the issue shown in the screenshot needs to be corrected and I have no idea how it happens or how to prevent. Site is on php5 server, and latest version of Enfold. I am using a child theme, but haven’t had this issue occur with previous additions to the beta.
I also notice that in this specific category of posts (News Clips), the forward and backward arrows do not show up in the pagination, and it looks like this is related to the issue, since the non-existent posts are titled “Navigation”, “Primary links” and “Secondary links”.
I did try deactivating plugins to no avail.
Thanks in advance for your expert assistance!

February 25, 2017 at 4:46 am #751693Thought it might be helpful is I supplied the url in question. Scroll to bottom to see the issue. I am still checking the many posts to find out if there is an unclosed tag that could contribute to this issue.

March 1, 2017 at 7:38 am #753470Hi,
Thanks for the the login details. I have never seen an issue like that before, did you make any changes at all to any of the theme files?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 1, 2017 at 6:14 pm #753844Hello Rikard,
Don’t think so; just updated the theme yesterday and issue persists.
Some clues: this only occurs in the category of blog posts that have audio embeds. For some reason, the forward and backward arrows in the pagination do not show up in the bottom navigation. Instead, they seem to show up as those last 3 stray posts, entitled “Navigation”, “Primary links”, and “Secondary links”.
Does that help? I have gone back through each of these posts to make sure all tags are closed.
Thanks much!
March 6, 2017 at 5:01 pm #756499Hi,
Sorry for the late reply!
That is indeed weird. That “posts” seem to reflect todays date as well.
Can you please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files manually – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/?Best regards,
YigitMarch 6, 2017 at 6:17 pm #756537Hi Yigit,
Just did that and am now on 4.0.2. Unfortunately the problem is persisting. I will continue to search for anything in the posts that could cause this; if i can get rid of it I will add a note here.
March 6, 2017 at 11:22 pm #756633Hi,
It appears the 3 topics visible in your post are events which may have been deleted from the wordpress backend interface but still has an entry in the database which is causing the issue.
Please give this plugin a try https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-optimize/ It will optimise the database and may remove the corrupt entries. We will await for your test results.
Best regards,
VinayMarch 7, 2017 at 4:17 am #756711Hello Vinay,
Tried that plugin, but the pesky stray links are still there. I have contacted the individual who has access to the backend of this database via phpMyadmin, and we’ll take a look there. Thanks for all the effort on this one. I will post an update here when we have one.

Jordan ShannonMarch 8, 2017 at 7:22 pm #757993Hello Jordan & Team,
Consider this issue to be resolved. My host provided direct access to the database via phpMyAdmin. I found the 3 blank entries in question, deleted them, and the stray links to non-existent posts disappeared.
Your technical support to help diagnose the issue and suggest a solution is greatly appreciated!
In addition to the fact that the theme is extremely flexible, reliable and regularly updated, the awesome support is one of the reasons that Enfold is a “go to” theme for me on WordPress project after project! Keep up the great work!
Thank you,
