Hi,
I can no longer select the visual mode on the editor, just the text mode.
I deleted and reinstalled the theme but it didn’t work.
Any suggestion?- This topic was modified 7 years, 11 months ago by gianmarizzi.

January 31, 2017 at 7:58 pm #740853Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
In addition to that, please let us know if we are allowed to deactivate one or more of your plugins as well for testing purposes :)There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
Have in mind to keep all plugins deactivated while testing everything.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 1, 2017 at 1:19 pm #741193I’ve already deleted the theme files and reinstalled them again.
I deactivated all the plugins but nothing changed.February 2, 2017 at 9:43 am #741654What should I do?
February 2, 2017 at 9:50 am #741656This happened to me this week and I found a thread on here that suggested adding a user with admin rights, logging in as that new user, and pulling up a page.
Boom, it worked for the new user and for my usual admin account!
Good luck, hope that helps.
February 2, 2017 at 9:55 am #741660Hi @gianmarizzi,
Did you try out the suggestion posted by @goldengate415 and did you have any luck with it? Thanks for helping out @goldengate415 :-)
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 2, 2017 at 10:56 am #741703it works only for the new admin
February 2, 2017 at 5:35 pm #741924Same thing happened to me… try ‘incognito mode’ or “private browsing” mode to login with the original admin and / or clear the cache. That fixed it for me.
Strange we are having to create new admin accounts to get visual mode to work. I wonder if this is a Yoast conflict or ?
February 2, 2017 at 5:54 pm #741941No, it doesn’t work.
I also deactivated the Yoas plugin but it didn’t help.February 3, 2017 at 9:49 am #742294I’m sorry to say you’re not giving me a good assistance about this issue.
February 6, 2017 at 2:18 pm #743367Hi,
I noticed that you are using a caching plugin. Would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 7, 2017 at 1:12 pm #743879I did it but nothing happened.
February 8, 2017 at 10:15 am #744277Anyone there who can really help?
February 8, 2017 at 10:02 pm #744524Hi,
I already asked this, but did not get any answer, so again: are we allowed to deactivate any plugins for testing purposes?
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 9, 2017 at 12:03 pm #744765Sure you are. You are allowed to do anything can fix this issue.
February 10, 2017 at 5:17 pm #745505Hi,
it’s working fine for me after I clears cache plugin and deactivate all your plugins: http://imgur.com/a/rO4dv
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 10, 2017 at 5:39 pm #745514No, it’s not working at all. Now I have all plugins activate except the cache plugin and still got the issue. Your comment is not helping because I need to know which plugin is causing the issue or I cannot fix it.
February 10, 2017 at 6:01 pm #745531Hi,
if you want to know which plugin is causing it, then simply switch them off one by one, until you find the one which is causing it.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 13, 2017 at 9:32 am #746248Maybe I didn’t explain clearly: I’ve got the issue with ALL the plugin deactivated.
February 13, 2017 at 3:26 pm #746457Hi,
I already proofed to you that your editor is working fine. I did another screenshot and testing for you on your end: http://imgur.com/a/Md4CQ
We can’t help you, if we can’t see the issue.
Please clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times. Also check on another computer.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 13, 2017 at 5:47 pm #746543Tried on another pc: it works on portfolio-items and pages but not on posts.
On my pc: cleared the cache and hard refreshed many times and nothing happened.February 14, 2017 at 6:57 pm #747049Hi,
does this happen when using a default WP theme as well?
Please activate your cache plugin again, go into plugin’s settings and choose to switch off caching. Afterwards deactivate it again, clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.
However, you’re not following our instructions. I already told you to delete all theme files and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account, which you did not do, cause you’re still using an old version of Enfold. So let us know when you’re done with all that.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 16, 2017 at 5:11 pm #748050I was experiencing a strange issue with the visual editor and thought it was my hosting provider. I was using Chrome browser and the problem was on ALL of my computers and laptops logged into the same Chrome account. The temporary solution was to log in via “incognito mode” in Chrome, and then everything worked great. The real solution though was to delete all browsing history (until the beginning of time as the prompt says) and then to DELETE COOKIES which I never had done.
Deleting the cookies solved the issue….. you might also want to try that, and try logging in with a different browser (Firefox etc) to see if you are running into an issue similar to mine.
Hope this helps.
February 28, 2017 at 10:00 am #752810I suddenly have the issue again.
I haven’t installed any new plugin.
I have the cache plugin deactivated and so the minify plugin.
It happens both on Chrome and Firefox.
I deleted all cookies etc.
It happens on posts, pages and portfolio entries.
Should I delete all theme files and get a fresh copy again?February 28, 2017 at 12:09 pm #752872Hi,
Yes, please do so. We have released Enfold 4.0.2 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
YigitFebruary 28, 2017 at 12:32 pm #752879I did what you suggested, updated the theme but the issue is still there.
February 28, 2017 at 5:05 pm #753053Hi,
I still think this is related to a caching issue. So make sure caching is switched off, before you just deactivate your caching plugin, cause then caching will just go on. Also make sure that your server does not use any caching and ask your host about it.
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 28, 2017 at 5:24 pm #753061Also, make sure you clear any CDN caching.
