Hi, my current theme version is 4.2.2. I’ve bought it, created api token, inserted token and themeforest user name, but theme updates still show any available. It says: “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.2.2)”
why the newer version to update does not show up?
Do I have to change theme files manually, and, if yes, will the export settings from 4.2.2 version work for the latest one?

    Hey denyso1,
Thanks for your question, your version was released when Envato, (Theme Forest) used the API, they changed that to the Token, it’s not the same, so you will need to manually update and the update will use the same settings.
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

    Mike, thanks for your reply,
One more question, I used a child theme, will it work with a new version after manual update or I have to generate a new child theme?

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. It depends on if you have overridden any theme files in your child? If you have footer.php and header.php in there for example, then they would need to be copied back in from the parent. You can add your customisations back in after that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
