Hi, I recently took on a job to refresh the look of a client’s website, which happens to use Enfold. However, when I go into the admin panel, there is no ‘Enfold’ menu item. I get the normal appearance, plugins etc, but no Enfold menu. Additionally, the theme directory is labelled ‘enfoldclean’.

Could this be a very old version, or perhaps an illegal copy? Or is there just something not quite working somewhere?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hey Alex!

They are using a very old version of Enfold. Please firstly try updating Enfold to the latest version 3.4.7 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. If that does not help, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately so we can look into it.

    Cheers!

Thanks, I did find the menu in the end under ‘Theme Options’. The ThemeForest username and API key are filled in, but it says the latest version is installed, and claims this is version 3.0.8. Any reason why it wouldn’t pick up the real latest version in the manual update?

Ah, perhaps their support has expired?

    Hey!

Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.

If that does not help, please refer to Rikard’s post above and update the theme manually.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
