    Hi
I have a grid row with an image as background. And I have set the alt text but it’s not showing when I hover the mouse ver the image. So my concern is that google is not reading it. Or has it to do with the grid row?
    Thanks
–Think I found the reason. Since it was added with css, there is no alt text. So I went with another solution.
Please let me know if I’m wrong in my assumption.

    Hey jakobl1976,

That is correct, background images don’t have alt tags. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

    Thanks
Another question. Where do I type the alt tags correct, so that google reads them?
Right now it seems like the alt tag for an image is the image title ???

    Hi,

You add that in the WordPress gallery after you upload them. If you need help then we need to be able to see and reproduce the problem.
