Hi,
I have added a code that creates a Newsletter sign up pop up. We tested it and saw that it does not work properly and removed it again. Now some site visitors have told me that they still get the pop up and there is no button to close it. It comes up after a few seconds for visitors that don’t have a cookie yet.
Could you please help me to remove it? Where else could that code still be and be active?
Thank you,

I checked your site did not get any popup. It probably was a caching issue in case any user report to you with pop on the site without a close button please advice them to hard refresh.
Users may not see the changes until the cached files are cleared in your browser.
Please try to hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” and review the site again.
Best regards,
VinaySeptember 9, 2016 at 12:31 pm #684139Hi Vinay,
thanks a lot for your response. I have done that and in Chrome it seems to work although I can still see that it is there, when I open the Dev tools. I can’t attach images to this reply, so I copy the text I see:
Object {pid: 0, mid: “//s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.mailchimp.com/js/signup-forms/popup/1.0/popup.js”, pack: 0, url: “//s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.mailchimp.com/js/signup-forms/popup/1.0/popup.js”, executed: 0…}In the other browsers though, Safari and Firefox, it still appears and worse, sometimes it does not appear, but it blocks the menus, and they don’t work anymore – the submenus don’t show. I have been told from various clients who visited the web for the first time, that they could not access the submenus, so maybe this is what is happening. The image is not loading but the command is there blocking other functions of the website.
In Safari and Firefox, you need to browse around for a while and then the menus block. If you then go back to the homepage, the pop up appears.
Thanks,

Please use imgur or dropbox for the screenshot. Where did you add the code? Did you delete the browser and plugin cache?

IsmaelOctober 17, 2016 at 6:58 pm #700187Hi Ismael,
we followed the Mailchimp instructions for creating the pop up and then tried to put it in an HTML widget in the footer or in a code block. As it did not work, we removed it. However it keeps appearing (see images from the code …mailchimpsignuppopup and the Cookie for the pop up).
Clients have reported that they see the fold out menus cut off. Since the last update, the menus: Products, Methodology, My Skin and Rituals are cut off. It might have something to do with this.
Please let me know fast, as I need to contact new clients and can’t do this with the site looking like this.
Thank you and kind regards,
JuliaOctober 19, 2016 at 8:25 am #701054Hi,
Thank you for the screenshots. We would like to access the site but the login credentials above are not working anymore. Did you remove it? Please check the Appearance > Editor > functions.php file, maybe the script was added using the wp_head hook.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 19, 2016 at 11:00 am #701126Hi Ismael,
please find the access details attached.Thank you,
JuliaOctober 19, 2016 at 11:19 am #701144Hi Ismael,
thanks a lot. The code was in the functions.php file. I was looking for it in the file manager of my hosting provider and could not find it.
It seems that by removing it, the problems with the cut menu had disappeared.
Thank you very much,
