    I’m looking for a way to display in a layerslider the headlines of news elements (defined by a category). The headlines should appear one after another. Is that possible?

    I appreciate any suggestions.

    You can use the Content Slider as a news ticker. Set the autorotation to active.

    Thanks for your reply. I’m looking for a way of implementing a whole category over a background image. With the suggested solution with the Content Slider I have to recreate every news item and link it to it. And I can not place the content slider over an image or background image, can I?
    I was hoping for a way of inserting code, so the news items of a category would be displayed automatically one after another. I have to do this on several pages and with the content slider it takes quite an intensive amount of time to create 10 news items per page/slider. By the way I like the styling of the Content Slider.

    Hey!

    Afaik this is not easily possible. You can try a plugin like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/ and you can use the html field to embed the shortcode into the slider. Maybe it gives you useful results. If not please hire someone for the customization of the LayerSlider.
