I have just purchased the enfold theme and am quite new to WP images an all.

I have a question, I am looking to setup a woocommerce store my test site is included in this chain. I looked at the images used by the Enfold demo and say they were 450px by 450px so I just resized my images to be 450px by 450px by a software. Whilst the feature image looks squashed, the other images in the second link have all been squashed. My question is this:
I have to upload one feature image and X alternate view images. What sizes should I be uploading for both? Do I need to worry about the actual image sizes> Do I also need to worry about the file size of the images? I have tried several things in the links below.
I am reading a lot of threads about images and how they work but I am confused still. Please can you help?

    Thanks

Also I keep seeing suggestions for plugins – either the

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/resize-image-after-upload/

I am confused what I should be doing here – any support would be great Pleasee…..

    Hey!

You can go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display and change image sizes as needed and then regenerate them using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

You do not need to worry about image sizes but please keep in mind, if you upload very large images, it will increase page load time.
