Recently on my site, after updating to Enfold 7.1 (WP 6.8.1), I am seeing p tags getting added automatically. This should not happen. How do I stop this from happening? Here are 2 examples of this happening:
<p class=”ai-optimize-89″></p>
<p class=”ai-optimize-96″>
<style type=”text/css” data-created_by=”avia_inline_auto” id=”style-css-av-2w1fh1-60a2143162635ac4b509f8d4973bd200″>
.avia-section.av-2w1fh1-60a2143162635ac4b509f8d4973bd200{
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-image:var(–wpr-bg-d2d137c8-5f7d-4d64-9d8d-23b56da50b14);
background-position:0% 0%;
background-attachment:scroll;
}
</style>
</p>June 10, 2025 at 9:50 pm #1485304Hey jedediahzilberberg,
I would point out that the class “ai-optimize-*” is from a plugin, not the theme.
So this is from the plugin, or from your copy/paste or from hitting the “enter key” while in visual mode in the text editor.Best regards,
MikeJune 11, 2025 at 6:40 pm #1485337Thanks for the response and these p tags are getting added without hitting the “enter key” while in visual mode in the text editor. They are getting added explicitly without any action taken or the class of “ai-optimize-*” is being added to existing p tags.
So, if you think it is not happening from the theme, do you have any idea of what plugin would be doing this? I have not added any plugins recently.
Thanks!
June 11, 2025 at 6:56 pm #1485338do you have a yoast seo installed and perhaps a premium version? Because there is a beta tool:

but i think the allready placed p-tags had to be removed manually
maybe other plugins with AI support can cause this too (Rank Math or an AI content helper)June 11, 2025 at 8:24 pm #1485346June 11, 2025 at 9:04 pm #1485349I found it is Yoast SEO that is adding these tags. Thanks!
