    Hello,
    Since the last theme update, new portfolio categories are not displaying. For example, I added a new portfolio category “Digital” but it’s not showing above my portfolio grid along with the other categories. I tried clearing the cache, deleting the new category and adding it again, saving the portfolio item/page again with that category, but no luck.

    I read some old forum posts with similar issues, but shouldn’t the updated theme releases corrected this problem? I’m using version 4.1.1.

    Hey Jennifer,
    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

     Please also tell us which portfolio categories are not displaying, also note that as a part of testing we will disable your plugins temporary, if you have not tried disabling your plugins please see if that resolves the issue.

    Hi Mike,
    It’s just the one category “Digital” that’s not displaying, the others I had created a while back and are displaying fine. I tried disabling all my plugins, but didn’t help.

    I found this similar support post, and it looks like I may need to make some changes to the functions.php file to make my new categories display.

    I’m currently not using a child theme, so I’ll need to set that up before I edit the php file. For now, we can close this thread.
