Just installed Enfold with child theme. Then imported the default demo. I changed the logo and the favicon, but other basic stuff seems to be failing.
1) I’d like to edit the background color in the header. Theme options/General styling/Logo area background color doesn’t seem to do the trick.
2) I cannot edit any pages or posts. All I get is a pink status bar at the top saying “Updating failed”.Please help.

Thanks for that, we can’t access the theme settings though since the account doesn’t have admin rights. Please upgrade the account.
About your problem; do you have file compression active under Enfold->Performance? If so then please try turning that off and select to delete the old CSS and JS files at the bottom of the same page.
Best regards,

User rights have been updated.July 24, 2019 at 2:31 pm #1121548Site health shows “The REST API did not process the context query parameter correctly.”, which Google tells me is another symptom of this problem. There are various workarounds, but going back to the classic editor, disabling pretty permalinks, etc… are not desirable options.

July 25, 2019 at 3:34 pm #1121928If I install the Classic Editor plugin, the pink error goes away. Now, when I do a preview of my homepage (which was built by editing the demo), it loads (which it didn’t do before) but I don’t get the current content – I get the original demo content.

July 25, 2019 at 10:39 pm #1121990Hi,
This has to do something with cache, have you tried load it on Icognito?
Best regards,
BasilisJuly 25, 2019 at 10:53 pm #1121994What makes you think it has anything to do with browser caching? Incognito mode makes no difference.
July 25, 2019 at 11:23 pm #1121999If I use your “Use Classic Editor” option, the issue goes away. I have to edit the file and save it before I can see my content instead of the demo when I preview.
HOWEVER, I use Enfold with another site and it works fine with the Gutenberg editor. I’m not comfortable with rolling the editor back on an ongoing basis. So let’s figure out what the issue is.
July 25, 2019 at 11:30 pm #1122000I changes the Permalink setting from the custom one loaded by the demo to one of the standard settings and the problem went away.
July 26, 2019 at 12:00 am #1122004Hi,
Glad to hear you have solved the issue, but could you please explain the Permalink settings you changed? Was the default Permalink setting “Post name”?Best regards,
MikeJuly 26, 2019 at 2:10 am #1122012The default was whatever custom setting you had in the demo that I imported.
