    Hi,

    I’ve just installed Enfold and created a straightforward website at: http://www.woodstock-guesthouse.co.uk/

    However, it’s unresponsive and doesn’t always load. I’ve turned off all the plugins – to no avail. A stock theme like 2014 work fine and my hosting provider can find no issue with the WordPress installation, and recommended that I contact the developers. The Enfold version is 4.1.2.

    Can anyone help as I am at a loss as to what the issue is?

    Hey nigelpengelly,

    You need to test the following things before to continue:

    -> Test if there are any plugin conflict disabling all of them and check the site again.

    -> Check this article about speed tricks: https://wpengine.com/blog/site-speed-make-wordpress-lightning-fast/

    -> Remove any custom code (added from your side).

    Hi Nigel,

    I would try to whitelist that file, since the theme needs access to it. If it was a security risk to do so then it would be a risk for all our customers, and so far we haven’t had any indications of any such problems.

    I have whitelisted all the files, yet the Enfold theme is still not loading properly despite a clean install and all plugins disabled, no custom css etc.
    Please can you help as I don’t know what else I can do.

    Hi,
    Please review this page test
    I would try to remove the affiliate js script, it loading twice and slowly, also why do you have a 301 redirect on your domain name? Your main images are loading slowly, and seem very large at 1600px

    Hi,
    Thanks for getting back.
    How do I remove the affiliate js script – I have Googled this, but cannot find a solution.
    I was also unaware that there were any 301 redirects on the website? I’ve gone to settings and removed the ‘www.’ in the WordPress address and Site Address – might that help?

    I’ve reset the website back to September 20.

    I’ve installed WP Super Cache as suggested and adjusted all the picture sizes, yet the website still takes some time to load.

    The website is still having trouble loading. Perhaps the best way forward might be to export the website as an xml file, then reinstalling Enfold and importing the website.

    Do you think this might work?

    It just seems to be hanging on the home page, all the other pages are fine (eg/ http://woodstock-guesthouse.co.uk/rooms/)

    Yes, that seems to have fixed it.
    However, all my rooms appear to have gone.
    Have I lost a plugin? Could you please check?
