    Dear kriesi,

I just installed the 4.7 version of Enfold resulting in a big messy website. I fortunately could store a snapshot from my hoster.

In the past this would be no issue as the child theme just followed the mother theme as Ive been told.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hey Jarco Penning,

Could you please attach some screenshots of the issue?

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

Thanks for the update and login details. I can’t say exactly what could be breaking in your child theme unfortunately, but it might be a good idea to copy the site to a staging site and start off with an empty child theme there. You can then copy in your modifications one by one to see which one is causing the problem to happen. If it’s from footer.php then you might have to copy the content from the parent theme and re-add your customisation in there again.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Jarco,

Thanks for the update. I can see that you are running the latest version of the theme now, but I can’t see that your site is in a mess. Could you post screenshots of the problem now maybe? Also please try loading the site in an incognito or private window in your browser to see if that makes any difference.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Jarco,

Thanks for the update, I’m glad that you got things working. The two versions could well have been the problem, but I can’t say for sure unfortunately. Please let us know if you should have any further problems on this topic.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
