    I have cloned a site that used an older Enfold theme to create a new site so I bought a new license.

    Layerslider cannot be activated, its embedded and I never got a license key for the slider.

    The site appears to be working fine but the slider does not sit within the main body of the site and extends right to the RHS of the browser window although it does cut off, as expected, on the LHS.

    I’m sure there must be something simple to address this.

    can anyone assist please?

    thanks

    Hey JonRowlan,

    Your SSL certificate doesn’t seem to be valid on the site, that might be the cause of your problems. If you need further help then please include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

    The LayerSlider is bundled with the theme, so you can’t activate it as a stand alone plugin unless you buy a separate license for it.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for the reply Rikard,

    I am not so sure, the certificate is fine but one file, a favicon, is specified as an http:// address rather than an https:// address.

    Using wp-cli to change this, I reckon this is what is causing the problem:

    I am using PHP7, surely this should be a supported platform?

    thanks

    Hi Jon,

    Thanks for the update. Yes, PHP 7 is supported by the theme. Please try this in Quick CSS to keep the slider within the container width:

    .ls-wp-container {
    width: 100% !important;
    }

    Hi Rikard,

    almost, but the labels that float in from the right are cropped.

    Hi,

    I can’t see that on my end using Chrome on a 13″ laptop, in which browser and resolution are you seeing that on?

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard,

    Chrome on a 23″ monitor.

    Here is a screenshot:

    as you can see the bars have slid in from the RHS

    but are truncated.

    Hi Rikard,

    any thoughts on the layout issue?

    Still looks fine on the original website and old version of the theme.

    The slider reports in the backend as unlicensed but I assume that is because its bundled with the enfold theme.

    please advise,

    thanks

    Hi,
    Sorry for the late reply, for your layerslider elements showing off the page, please clone a second layerslider and adjust the canvas to be very large and adjust the elements to look good at that size, then use the screen option to choose when to show each slider.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Sorry Mike, that doesn’t make a lot of sense.

    On the same monitor the original slider still works fine, all we have done is replace the theme and associated embedded slider to the latest version.

    so why doesn’t the layout behave as it did previously?

    I had to add css (see previously in this thread) so I am assuming that there are other incorrect or missing css.

    I can’t add a different clone slider for every potential size of viewing browser, surely it should all be responsive?

    regards

    Hi,

    You can add a second slider, this idea as a solution is what can make things work better.

    Best regards,
