    Hello
    My website goes down everytime i try to make any edit on any page

    I get this pop up message

    DataTables warning: table id=user-list – Ajax error. For more information about this error, please see https://datatables.net/tn/7

    It is driving me crazy, i contacted my DreamPress and they said that the RAMs are hitting the maximum when i try to make any edit on any page !

    This is a new incident and i never faced it before !
    They also mentioned Enfold and sent me this error log as well

    PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 63438848) (tried to allocate 5242880 bytes) in /home/wp_vgbfwm/per-vurt.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/admin/register-admin-options.php on line 2877
    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 63438848) (tried to allocate 5242880 bytes) in /home/wp_vgbfwm/per-vurt.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/admin/register-admin-options.php on line 2877
    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

    I hope you can help me find the issue and solve it !

    Hey Mohamad,

    Could you try increasing the amount of memory allocated to PHP to see if that helps please? http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    @Rikard
    We did .. and it kept crashing !
    After we did database optimization, it worked perfectly for another 3 weeks then when i was editing a page again, it crashed due to ram getting maximum peaks

    Only when i edit something (page or post) the site crashes
    DreamPress say i should contact you, the theme, and they said the theme is causing this !

    Any idea ?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. Did they specify exactly what is causing your site to crash? This is not a general problem with the theme, so it’s likely something local to your site.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard
    Yes
    they said the most spikes come from the Avia Builder
    it only happens when i try editing a page or post or product (i use advanced layout builder) this task takes around 225 MB of ram when i engage in it

    they also mentioned that on idle mode, when no one is visiting the site, and when no editing is engaged , it consumes 1.6GB
    i wonder if that number is logical .. i have around 27 plugins (4 of them are only very very minor acting as a php code)
    the rest are not too abusive

    i have 270 registered users on the site (do they make a difference?)
    maximum visitors per day is 150
    at the same time visiting : 8 max . most of the time its only 1 or 2 based on google live analytics

    any advise or insights @Rikard ?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Are you trying to import the templates previously?

    Did you enable the error logs? The errors would have been reported in the log when the site crashed. If debugging is not enabled yet, please enable it now, then go back to us when the site crash again. Post the WP and FTP details in the private field so that we can check it thoroughly.

    And for the mean time try to enable the Classic Editor or disable the block editor. You can do it in the Theme Options > Select Your Editor settings, or use a plugin called Classic Editor.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hello Ismael
    How can i enable that ? this is driving me crazy as i am not able to make any edit

    The moment i start editing any page or post or product, the site crashes due to low ram memory !

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay. You should be able to generate the error logs using the snippets provided in the following documentation.

    //https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#wp_debug_log
    // https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#example-wp-config-php-for-debugging

    Just make sure that that the WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG are set to true.

    What are the actual specs of the server?

    Best regards,
    Ismael
