I had to make edits to the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/postslider.php file. However I need to set the change in the Child theme, which I have installed. I have tried adding the postslider.php file to the enfold folder, but that doesn’t override the parent original file.
What do I need to do to use from the Child theme? I have watched the Child them tutorial, and read the Child codex on WP… still unsure what to do here. Thanks!
Keep the files (sub)folder-structure and copy it to your childtheme like
enfold-child/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/postslider.php
Hey!
Thank you for using Enfold.
Please follow the instructions here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-new-or-replace-advanced-layout-builder-elements-from-child-theme/
Best regards,
Ismael
Thanks for your help, I followed your instructions.
There is a another file we’ve made modifications to, however it’s outside the enfold theme, so I just wanted to confirm that when we upgrade the theme, that this file will not be modified. It’s located here: wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold-child.css
Hi!
Yes, that file is also safe, as the update only works on the wp-content/themes/enfold folder!
Do let us know if you have any other question
