I’ve gone over all the threads I can find on using custom fonts with Enfold but they are all way over my level of expertise.
Simply put, I need to know how to use a custom font (ttf.) with my Enfold Child theme. I’ve tried to use font-face and generators like fontsquirrel with no success. If I could just get a basic, step by step guide, that would be fantastic. Note: I have very little knowledge on how to use CSS, so any guide which assumes the reader(myself) has inherent understandings of anything CSS related will most likely result in failure.

Using the fontsquirrel generator would be the easiest way. You just upload your fonts to the generator and copy the CSS it gives you and paste it into Dashboard > Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS. You need to make sure to actually upload your font to your server as well.
You could also try doing this, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/installing-own-fonts/#post-421325, which will add options for the font in the Enfold styling settings.

Quick question, where will I be placing/uploading the font files on my server? Somewhere in the WP directory I’m assuming?
EDIT: I should also mention that I need to be able to enable/disable the font I want to use for different elements on the site. I’m assuming I can achieve this with further custom quick CSS when the time comes?

October 18, 2015 at 10:23 am #520575Hi,
You can upload it anywhere basically, just make sure that the URL in the CSS is correct. I’m not sure what you mean by enable/disable the font but I’m sure what you are looking to achieve is possible.

RikardOctober 18, 2015 at 9:13 pm #520683See there’s the problem, I don’t know how to call upon a URL location using CSS. Like I said, I’m very inexperienced with CSS and I have next to no idea what the font call would look like.
