    Hello dear Enfold Staff!
I wrote the same post a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t receive any answer, probably something got wrong.
I have installed Enfold and Enfold Child and I created a site in which I use a lot the playlist player.
Even though I set the option on “Stop after that last song has been played”.

The address of the site is:
    http://www.ilmaestrobeinsaduno.it

This is an example of a page where the playlist restart even though I asked differently. I have nearly 200 pages with playlist inside and I would like to correct the problem.

I give you access to the site to check better.
In the list of the pages of the site all pages with numbers from 001 to 173 have two music players in them.

Thank you very much and best regards,

    Antonio Salvemini

    Hey Antonio,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply!

First song in the first link below loops however other songs I checked stop after playing once or if they are the final song in playlist. Could you please share links of other pages where songs do not stop playing?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Dear Yigit,

    thank you for answering :-)

in this page there is a table:
    https://www.ilmaestrobeinsaduno.it/canti-della-fratellanza/tabella-completa-dei-canti/

in the left column there are the links to nearly 200 pages.
IN EACH PAGE there are two players, some with one song only, some with two or three songs. ALL OF THEM start again, even though I selected “stop after last song”.

It was a big work to create all the players, and I hope that it is possible to solve this malfunctioning of the software… Here you are also the data to access to the site.

Thank you and hear you soon!
    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

Which browser are you using to test the site? The playlist stops after the last song and returns back to the very first song and buffers it. We checked the first and third playlists in the table on Firefox Windows 10.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
thank you! This is a good observation. I didn’t notice that some players start again when I open the page with Safari, but stop at the end if I open the page with Chrome or Firefox.
Unfortunately, in many other pages the players start again in any case, with Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
    See for example the page:

It is the third example in the table. The player on the left works correctly, but
the player on the right side of the page start again with every browser.
It seems that the problem is very complicated.
Thank you for helping, I hope we can understand what’s wrong.

    Best regards,
    Antonio

Do you have any new information about this topic?

    #1259478

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay. Is it only happening on playlists with only one item? Have you tried replacing those with the audio shortcode? Please check the following documentation for more info.

    // https://wordpress.org/support/article/audio-shortcode/

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1259859

    Hi Ismael!
It happens both with playlists with one item and to playlists with 2, 3, or more items.
Thanks for suggesting the audio shortcode. The problem is that I spent weeks to create those pages with the playlist available with enfold and since a lot of playlists start again, this means that I should do all the work again…
If possible I would like to solve the problem without doing again all the work done, since there are almost 200 pages with two music player inside…
Thank you very much and best regards,
    Antonio

    Hi,

Could you provide a direct link to a page with a playlist that contains multiple items, and where the issue occurs? The second playlist in the page above contains only one item.

The issue is quite tricky because it is random and it does not happen on every playlist. In any case, users could always pause the player manually if it restarts, but we understand that there is an issue with the playlist.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

Hi Ismael, thank you to you, as well, for your patience!
You are right, it is possible to play stop, but usually I visit the pages of the site and I have the experience that you start playing a song and then go to another page and read other stuff, and after the song is played several times is quite disturbing.
I will give you a short list of examples of players with one, two or more songs which don’t stop. I tested them with Chrome and Firefox. To test with Safari is useless, since with Safari most of the players start again. Fortunately many players work well with Chrome and Firefox, but there are also many which start again. Here are the examples:

    ONE SONG

(only the left player start again, with both Chrome and Firefox).

(only the left player starts again both with Chrome and Firefox)

    TWO SONGS

(only the left player start again, with both Chrome and Firefox)

(only the left player starts again both with Chrome and Firefox)

    THREE SONGS

(only the right player starts again both with Chrome and Firefox)

(only the right player start again both with Chrome and Firefrox)

(only the right player start again with Chrome and Firefox)

    FOUR SONGS

In my pages I found only 5-6 players with four tracks and all of them work correctly. We can’t say if it is only a problem of statistics, and if there were more four-tracks-players probably some of them didn’t work. But we can also suppose that the problem is only with players with 1, 2 or 3 tracks.

I thank you again and I hope you will be able to discover the key of this mystery!
    I thank you very much!
    Best regards,

    Antonio

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay. We just found out that the playlist is not stopping when the title of the last item in the playlist contains cyrillic or non-latin characters. To fix the issue, we had to modify the enfold\config-templatebuilder\avia-shortcodes\audio-player\audio-player.js file and adjust this code around line 59.

    if ( decodeURIComponent(this.currentSrc) === lastTrack.attr('href') ) {
    							_self.stopLoop = true;
    						}

We just added the decodeURIComponent function to decode the audio URL.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    This is really great!! :-)
Thank you so much for all the efforts you made!
    I’m so grateful!
    Everything works great now.
    We can close the topic.
A big thank you and best regards,
    Antonio
