Hi All,
I’ve placed about 200 lines of CSS modifications in Quick CSS.
I believe I read somewhere it’s best not to have so much Quick CSS.
What is the best practice for migrating this CSS back into my Child Theme?
Thanks!
D
Hey sdigit,
All the quick css is actually stored within the enfold.css file, so its okay to have the code in there as it does in fact apply to a file. It just happens in the background. It is also safe from update overwrites.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon
Hi Jordan,
Thanks for the response. But, what about the text next to the Quick CSS box that says:
“Just want to do some quick CSS changes? Enter them here, they will be applied to the theme. If you need to change major portions of the theme please use the custom.css file or the Enfold Child theme.”
Are there any site performance considerations?
Thanks
D
Hi,
From a convenience standpoint, it is just easier to work within the separate files. Sure, you can copy what you have in quick css into your custom.css file, but it will read and perform just the same. In short, its really your preference.
