Move blog post date and author to the top of each post rather than after

I’ve read responses to similar questions for about the past hour and all I am is more confused. Is there a Quick CSS answer to being able to have the date appear before the content of a blog post instead of after? I’d love to see this as an option in future releases, as pretty much every major news publication displays a date near the top of the article instead of at the end.
