After migrating to new server, most of the images in posts are missing. A few could be corrected by clicking on the image and saving the resulting window. Most images just show a missing image icon when clicked, and resaving doesn’t correct it. What is the easiest way to correct the images without having to reinsert new images into every single post? (Why are the images missing in the first place? Migrating a website shouldn’t do that.)

    Hey m!

We can’t control how you migrate a website or how WordPress itself handles the image links inside of posts. It sounds like the images were saved to the old url and when you migrated you didn’t export the data in a way that would change the urls to the new location.

If that is the case you might be able to find a plugin that will scan for your images and fix the links though I’ve never run across one that I could point you to.

    Regards,
    Devin
