Can somene please help with this issue on a mobile website :
Should Fix:
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 2 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.Remove Render-blocking JavaScript
Optimize CSS Delivery
April 21, 2016 at 6:47 am #618943Hi Boria20000,
There is not really a fix for this as it’s not really a problem, any site using CSS and Javascript will display the same message. Try typing in google.com for instance. If you want to optimise your site you can try one or more of the following plugins:
GZip Ninja Speed Compression:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/gzip-ninja-speed-compression/
WP Smush:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/
W3 Total cache:

BWP Minify:

RikardMay 16, 2016 at 7:29 pm #633214Rikard, you recommend plugins for compression?
I am trying to minimize my plugin usage.May 17, 2016 at 7:46 am #633521Hi,
You don’t have to use a plugin but I don’t see a point to not using one if it will do what you are looking for? Plugins like these are not heavy so I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
Thanks,
RikardMay 17, 2016 at 3:51 pm #633805Thanks Rikard, w3 TC seems to work very well. My only question is that I’m using a CDN for images, and I’m not certain what settings should be used here: http://js-interactive.com/cdn.jpg
Wordpress and the theme gets upgraded frequently, so what gets checked and what remains unchecked for optimal maintenance? Thoughts?
Boria2000 a check out W3 Total Cache, and maybe any online compressor or WP-smash it if you’re looking to save time with getting images compressed.
May 18, 2016 at 7:17 am #634206Hi Justin,
To be honest I’m not 100% sure of what the most optimal setting would be, I think you will have to experiment a bit to see what works out for you and what won’t. I would try to use the default settings and then clear your cache after any updates of either the theme or WordPress itself.
Thanks,
RikardMay 18, 2016 at 2:52 pm #634504Rikard, that’s essentially what I have done….which has helped. The Desktop has jumped from a 52 to a 92. So progress has been made. Thanks!
