Hi Guys,
I’m hosting the video on our own server. I put a Button on the page with a manually link of a video. Which then opens in a Lightbox. If I look into the page on my mobile device something strange happens – all control elements are aligned horizontally? And I can hardly push the space behind the timeline element. Makes sense? How can I solve this?
See in the private section the link.
Cheers

Thanks for your patience and the link to your page, when I check your videos in the section “showreel” I don’t see any issues with the control elements, but from your description I believe the page may be different now because I don’t see a lightbox, if this is true can you create a test page that shows the error, can you tell us if this occurs on both Android and iPhone?Best regards,

thank you. I solved it by using the video element.I needed a fast solution. It’s not chic anymore – but it’s ok. I think it was because safari on iPhones are not allowing autoplay and the size of the video add his plus to it. I still have an example for it. The link is below in the private area.
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards
TNovember 14, 2022 at 8:27 pm #1372571Hi,
This is true that Safari & Chrome on iPhones do not allow autoplay, so if your work around is working then it will be your best solution.
I don’t have an iPhone so I can’t help with specific iPhone issues, if you are not happy with your work around then reply and we will ask a team member with an iPhone to check.
But please note that specific iPhone issues like the blocking of auto playing, is a Safari & Chrome browser policy and we follow their policy rules and don’t recommend skirting around them because with each update Safari & Chrome block more and more of the “hacks” which will lead you down a path of chasing your tail.Best regards,

please find attached a screenshot. What do you think? Here you can see how it lookalike. I do not have a problem with the fact that you have to push the play button to see the video. All elements are stacked on top of each other.
Thanks.
TNovember 20, 2022 at 4:23 pm #1373279Hi,
Thanks for the screenshot, I have checked this on my Android and Windows in Chrome, Firefox, & Edge and Mac Safari, Chrome, Firefox and in all cases the video looked correct before and during playback:
I see your screenshot is from an iPhone, try clearing the cache, often you need to also clear the history to fully purge the cache, following these steps for Safari and note Step 4 where you will Clear the History.Best regards,
