The mobile version jumps as you scroll down the page. This appears to only occur when browsing from the top of the website (i.e., jumping does not occur when scrolling up/down near the bottom of the site). Please see/download video link in the private content section. Thank you.

What browser is that? i’m unable to reproduce the issue on my Android phone (Chrome).
Best regards,
JosueFebruary 24, 2015 at 4:09 pm #401485Hi Josue,
Chrome browser. I tested on another Android device and was also able to replicate the issue. It is a bit difficult to see in the video, but if you look closely, you can see that it jumps.
Thank you,

I checked it on iPhone 4/Chrome and I can’t reproduce the error you are getting. Did you try to empty your browser cache and reload a few times?
Cheers!
RikardFebruary 25, 2015 at 9:22 am #401914I know what he is talking about, because I have the same issue. I believe the problem is created when a fullscreen slider interacts with a mobile device’s URL bar. When there is a fullscreen slider at the top of a page and you swipe down, the address bar disappears and creates more space on this page. The fullscreen slider detects this and resizes the image to fill up this new real estate. This resizing happens any time the user swipes up or down to show or hide the URL bar, anywhere on the page. The result is a “jumpy” scrolling experience on a mobile phone.
Since Chrome developer tools doesn’t have a disappearing URL bar like a mobile phone, the issue cannot be recreated in Chrome developer tools.
In my opinion, the solution lies within the resizing script for the fullscreen slider. I’ve seen the same problem with other themes, but there are some newer themes with fullscreen sliders that do not exhibit this problem.
February 25, 2015 at 2:28 pm #402055@Rikard. I cleared the cache on two Android devices and was able to replicate the issue using Chrome (did not test other browsers). I also cleared the cache on two iOS devices was also able to replicate the issue using Chrome (did not test other browsers). Please review the video link I posted again to see the issue, as it can possibly be easily overlooked. To explain the issue exactly, please do the following:
1: Load a fresh page with the URL
2: Once fully loaded, “swipe/scroll” down so about 3/4 of the full screen slider image is hidden (i.e., the top 3/4 of the full screen image will now be off the viewing screen).
3: Immediately after you have swiped/scrolled down, you will notice the unwanted “jumping” issue.
@mikefmedia and @ Rikard. I believe mikefmedia is correct in identifying the problem. If you look carefully, the fullscreen slider image entirely readjusts in size (although ever so slightly, but enough to cause an unwanted jumping effect) when the URL area is hidden. Here is another actual video recording of the issue using the Enfold theme itself:

Your video shows most of the issue, but it also happens if you are further down the page and decide to scroll up, exposing the URL bar.February 28, 2015 at 5:07 pm #403863Hey!
I can see the issue on my htc one. Can you please provide us admin access so we can have a deeper look into it? Post login details here as a private reply.
It looks like your slider is changing image size.
In the meanwhile please try to deactivate all plugins to see if one is causing this issue and let us know if this helps.Cheers!

March 10, 2015 at 4:33 pm #408917Hey!
I see what you mean, it looks like it’s just a browser quirk with iOS and Android with the URL bar. I can’t think of an easy fix though. I added it to our issue list and our devs will take a look to see if we can get a fix or workaround in a future update.

May 12, 2015 at 1:32 pm #442981Is there an update on this issue? Has this been resolved in a recent theme update?
May 13, 2015 at 4:56 pm #443838Hi!
Not sure if there is anything we can do about that. If our devs find a workaround in the future then we’ll get it added in a future update but for now it looks like a quirk with the Android OS that we have no control over.

ElliottAugust 19, 2015 at 2:31 pm #490074this is a well known annoyance on multiple browsers and mobile OS’s. it was discussed on stackflow for example: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24944925/background-image-jumps-when-address-bar-hides-ios-android-mobile-chrome
would be really cool if this could be addressed in the theme. as far as I understand this only applies to BG images that scale to screen size e.g. in color sections that use the percentage settings for the section height. maybe the way the size is determined could be changed as discussed in the thread.
